about the program

any people don't know this, but Belly Dance actually started as a pregnancy and birth dance. It is a dance created for women by women to support their bodies during pregnancy and labor. In this program we learn dance techniques that promote a healthy pregnancy and overall wellbeing. Through dance, we create a supportive community and allow our personal growth journey to unfold.

internal nesting

We are all aware of the nesting instinct that calls us to organize our external environment. This beautiful nesting instinct also happens internally. Pregnancy is a great time for growth, development and addressing issues we might have overlooked in the past. Pregnant women are more intuitive and gifted with a new and fresh perspective. In this program we dive deep into our internal nesting process and ensure we receive all the beautiful gifts pregnancy offers.

How does it work?

We meet on a weekly basis for five weeks. Each session is divided into a workshop and a Belly Dance class. In the workshop, we dive deep into topics that can assist us on our pregnancy journey; nurturing our inner nesting egg. The dance class following is directly related to the topics discussed.

Belly Dance is a great tool for inner work as it accepts you exactly the way you are. All women can belly dance regardless of age, body type, size, or previous dance experience. Belly Dance is easy on the body and activates the exact muscles needed for a healthy pregnancy. The movements allow mamas to build strength and flexibility through soft and gentle movement. Belly Dance teaches you new ways to be yourself and helps guide you through an empowered and enjoyable pregnancy.
